We are happy to share the latest events and news from our network!
Again in 2025 we will be hosting our annual meet-up, designed to bring the Biotechnet community together around a topic of interest.
New this year is a shorter, more interactive half-day format to facilitate networking and the sharing of knowledge. We look forward to seeing you there!
Biotechnet Meet-Up 2025: Biotech and Aging
🗓️ Tuesday, January 28, 2025
⏰ 13.00 to 18.00
📍 Google Switzerland, Europaallee 20, Zürich
🧑🤝🧑 Supported by the SATW
Is “aging” a disease? The question has various ethical and philosophical components. From a scientific point of view, medicine can help enable healthy aging and possibly, a longer life.
Biotechnet Switzerland’s Meet-Up 2025 will shed light on the different aspects in which biotechnology is or should be active in the realm of aging.
The event will be co-hosted by the Google Life Sciences Community at their exceptional site in the Europaalle, right next to the Zürich train station.
Program highlights
Keynote speakers from Novartis and Centenara will update us on their therapeutic pipelines for disease indications that are prevalent in older populations.
Researchers from the University of Bern and the University of Geneva will share their latest findings as to why some organs age faster than others.
The Swiss Intellectual Property Institute will survey the IP landscape around biotech and aging, revealing various segments of this exponentially growing market.
Biotechnet platforms and Google teams will host interactive booths or posters during the coffee break and apéro, allowing participants to informally network according to their scientific interests.
Biotechnet is pleased to welcome the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute as a new member. Swiss TPH offers training courses for clinicians and researchers interested in global health and in translating their results to the clinic. Check out their courses coming up in December!
