And just like that, another fall semester and season is upon us! Here is the latest news and events from our network.

Biotechnet Summer School 2024

Biotechnet and the ZHAW were pleased to welcome about 100 students and professors to Wädenswil for the 18th edition of the Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology.

Held from Sept 1 to 4, 2024, the event brought together students and lecturers from ZHAW, FHNW, HES-SO, HEPIA, Uni Bern, Uni Zürich, MCI the Entrepreneurial School, Ulysseus, the University of Palermo, and the University of Genua.

Highlights included:

• Over 40 talks on a broad range of biotech topics spanning health, food, energy and environment
• 10 student pitches on either a research project or a biotech company
• 3 presentations about career paths and job opportunities in industry
• A beautiful setting near the shores of Lake Zürich with plenty of opportunities for networking and socializing
